Moderntec Unveils “ModernBoy” Unmanned Robotic Charger and Ultra-Fast All-in-One Charging Solutions

Busan, South Korea – October 14, 2025Moderntec Co., Ltd. (CEO Sung-Doo Kim), a leading manufacturer and service provider of electric vehicle (EV) chargers, announced that it will participate in the “2025 Daegu International Future Mobility Expo (DIFA 2025)”, to be held at EXCO in Daegu from October 22 to 25.

During the exhibition, Moderntec will showcase a range of advanced charging infrastructure technologies, including its unmanned robotic charger “ModernBoy”, All-in-One ultra-fast charger, and multi-unit modular systems, highlighting the company’s technological capabilities in responding to the rapidly evolving EV charging market.

The “ModernBoy” unmanned robotic charger has gained attention as an innovative solution to address the safety risks associated with high-voltage and high-current charging due to increasing EV battery capacities, as well as user inconvenience caused by heavy charging cables.
Based on a rail-mounted automatic charging gun attachment system, a single robot can charge up to 20 vehicles simultaneously, while an integrated control platform enables real-time monitoring and stable operation. The system is currently undergoing pilot testing at Sinbanghwa Station in Seoul, where it has received positive feedback for accessibility and user safety, particularly for mobility-impaired users.

Moderntec’s All-in-One charger, also showcased at DIFA 2025, offers a customizable charging system capable of handling slow, fast, and ultra-fast charging within a single platform. It features a cable winch for enhanced user convenience and a smart power bank–dispenser (1:N) architecture that supports both simultaneous and sequential charging.
In ultra-fast mode, it can charge up to 80% of a 77kWh battery in approximately 15 minutes, while its adaptive power distribution technology helps reduce peak power usage by over 50%. This technology recently received an “S-Grade” rating from the Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning (KETEP) for its climate value and energy efficiency.

In addition, Moderntec will unveil its patented “Multi-Unit” technology, which allows interchangeable charging gun types to accommodate various global standards (NACS, CCS, etc.). This universal coupler solution enables multiple EV models to be charged from a single charger, improving operational efficiency and user convenience in markets where different charging standards coexist, including those used by Tesla.
